Range Officer Application

Range Officers are essential for the branch, we rely heavily on these volunteers for the safe conduct of range activities and the enjoyment of the range by our members. We appreciate that the process of being appointed as a range officer may be slow and time consuming but the process is in place to ensure the safety of everyone at the range and maintain the image of the sport.

The process to be approved as a Range Officer for the SSAA has recently changed. The attached letter from SSAA Qld outlines the changes, you can view this here. The application process will require that you complete 10 hours of supervised RO duties under the supervision of a qualified range officer. The is 10 hours for Rifle and an additional 10 hours for pistol.
